At 8.34am on Monday, 2nd March, Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service from Llandeilo and Carmarthen Fire Station responded to an incident at Esgair Wen, Cwmdu, Llandeilo.
The crews responded to a 27-year-old horse named Floss that had fallen in her stable, with her rear legs in one stall and front legs out of the stall.
Crews utilised a slide sheet, a general-purpose line and strops to free Floss and with assistance from a local farmer and his tractor they set Floss on 4 hay bales until she could bare her own weight.
With assistance from Holly Thomas from Cotts Equine Vets, the crews worked together to successfully rescue Floss.
The crew left the scene at 11.27am.
